A Provincetown institution for nearly 50 years, the Post Office Cafe & Cabaret combines a busy Commercial Street restaurant with one of P-Town’s best-loved LGBTQ+ performance spaces. By day, it serves classic American and New England-style food; by night, the cabaret comes alive with drag, comedy, live vocals and camp entertainment.
The stage has a serious pedigree. Over the years, performers have included Varla Jean Merman, Elvira, Eartha Kitt, Lea DeLaria, Divine, Trixie Mattel and Raja, while recent seasons have continued with popular drag and cabaret acts. Reviews regularly praise the entertainment, with particular enthusiasm for drag brunches, Miss Richfield 1981 and Paige Turner.
It is one of those very Provincetown places where you can have dinner, cocktails and a full show without leaving the building. If you are looking for drag shows, cabaret and gay nightlife in Provincetown, the Post Office deserves a place on the list.
